Chinchillas can't get wet. Instead, offer chinchillas dust bath 2 to 3 times per week. Fill a dust bath container with an inch of dust bath. Allow chinchillas to flop and roll in the bath for 15 to 20 minutes.

Do not keep dust bath in a chinchilla's enclosure. This can lead to UTIs and other health issues.
